Author Visit

Yesterday, Diana Dunn, Vermont author of the picture book, Pipsqueak's Adventure (A True Story), visited us.  She shared her book and the true story behind the book.  Students loved the story, her watercolor pictures, and the photos of Pipsqueak!  Diana made us accordion books to write and draw our own stories.  She gave each child a copy of her book to keep.  A big thank you to Diana Dunn for sharing her book with us!

Planetarium

We had a wonderful visit to the "planetarium" in the gym today.  Carrie Cruz, aka The Planetarium Lady, showed us what the sky around our school looked like.  She also shared pictures and stories of the constellations and moon.  Students loved it!  Thank you, Mrs. Roll, for organizing this great event.

Snow Motion

Wednesday, February 21st, was our last Snow Motion day for this year.  Kindergarten students did amazing on the slopes.  They should be very proud.  Thank you to all our volunteers, Mr. G,  and Cochran's Ski Area for providing us with such an enriching experience.

Acts of Kindness

Kindergarten students have been busy doing acts of kindness around the school.  On Tuesday, they picked up many rocks and sticks in the front of the building.  Mr. Spence, RES maintenance and facilities, was excited by the number of things we collected.  Students hope the snow will melt again so they can collect the rest of the rocks off the grass in the front of the building.  They have more acts of kindness planned for this week and next.  Great job, Kindergarteners!

Snow Motion

Our first couple of weeks of Snow Motion have been incredible! Kindergarteners are doing a great job skiing and snowboarding. They are learning important skills and having fun!   They are proud of their efforts and progress.  Thank you to Brian Godfrey, our P.E. teacher, for organizing this program and our volunteers for all their help.
